Southlake Named the 8th Most Wealthiest Suburbs in all of America
Southlake Named One of the Wealthiest Suburbs in America: Here's Why Buyers Continue to Invest Here
If you've lived in Southlake for any length of time, the latest national ranking probably won't come as a surprise. This exceptional community continues to earn recognition as one of the most desirable places to live in the country—and now it's officially one of the wealthiest as well.
According to a recent study by personal finance company MoneyLion, Southlake ranked as the No. 8 wealthiest suburb in the United States, making it one of only three Texas communities and one of just two Dallas-Fort Worth suburbs to earn a spot in the national top 10. The report found that the average household income in Southlake reached an impressive $384,530 in 2024, further reinforcing the city's reputation as one of the premier luxury markets in Texas.
How the Rankings Were Determined
MoneyLion analyzed suburbs with at least 5,000 households that are located within a metropolitan area but outside of a principal city. Communities were ranked primarily by average household income, with home values also considered to provide additional market context.
Southlake's placement reflects more than just financial success—it highlights the long-term strength, stability, and desirability of the community.
Texas Continues to Shine
Five Texas communities were recognized among the nation's 50 wealthiest suburbs:
-
West University Place (#2)
-
University Park (#6)
-
Southlake (#8)
-
Bellaire (#18)
-
Colleyville (#46)
Southlake's inclusion alongside these prestigious communities further solidifies its reputation as one of the most sought-after places to live in Texas.
Why Southlake Continues to Attract Buyers

A Strong Luxury Real Estate Market
National recognition like this is one of many reasons Southlake real estate continues to perform exceptionally well over the long term.
